JOB SUMMARY: The Truck Driver will perform the activities pertaining to the receiving, storing, delivering, and shipping of Grain, Fertilizer and Chemicals for the Location. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operates a semi-truck according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
  • Transports loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations
  • Maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas
  • Assists with loading of or loads and unloads goods and materials
  • Maintains required DOT paperwork as appropriate
  • Conducts standard DOT truck inspection
  • Facilitates routine service on trucks, which may include checking oil, water, gasoline, and air, and reports maintenance malfunctions to management
  • Maintains strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points
  • Adhere to all Prairie Grain Partners’ safety policies and procedures in compliance with Company and regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA, DNT, DOT, ect.)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • High school education or equivalent preferred
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must be eligible to legally work in the United States.
  • English Proficiency
  • Approved pre-employment drug screen
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with individuals within and outside the organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (M.S. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and internet preferred
  • Ability to think quickly, maintain self-control, and adapt to stressful situations.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends holidays as needed

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) class A
