Precision Assembly
Full Time Posted Feb, 26Job Summary: Responsible for assembly of standard and non-standard equipment of moderate complexity. These duties require the use of tools, the operation of simple machinery, and the ability to fit, fill, paint and level the machinery. Must supply and maintain personal hand tools, as specified in tool inventory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Works accurately and efficiently from drawings and specifications – identifying symbols, interpreting labels, and working from pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
• Operates, in a safe and effective manner, and to specified quality standards, simple production equipment, such as: Drill Press, Band Saw, Bench Press, Cut-off Saw, Belt Sanders, Powered Hand Tools
• Possesses a working knowledge of machine assembly, such as: Drilling and tapping, Filing and de-burring, Cleaning and painting parts, Measurement skills – using a variety of instruments to set parts to tolerances of +/- .010”, Aligning and paralleling rolls, Pinning parts, Fitting sprockets
• Assemble sub-assemblies of moderate complexity with minimum supervision such as: Columns and slides, Tenoner chain skids and hold downs, Spiral gear adjust
• Use measuring equipment (+ or - .001”)
• Sub-assemble equipment with minimum supervision, such as: Hold downs, Chain skids, Feed beds, All drives, Hoods, Stock supports
