Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY Woodland Cabinetry is seeking a reliable full-time maintenance technician. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that all buildings, equipment, and property are inspected and maintained to proper electro/mechanical and safety standards. A basic understanding of electrical schematics is required to perform the essential job functions of this position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS – Including but not limited to:
- Identify and perform repairs to building, equipment, and property.
- Use a variety of skill sets to perform repairs and maintenance – carpentry, mechanical, electrical, metalworks, plumbing, and painting.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Document work and purchase orders, and material lists.
- Gather information to provide recommendations on requested improvements and/or modifications to company facilities.
- Regularly inspect company buildings, equipment, and property; generate work orders for necessary repairs to ensure company property is kept in good operating condition; ensure quality and safety of work performed.
- Assist with grounds maintenance, including but not limited to lawn and parking lot maintenance and snow removal.
- Assist in administering all operations in accordance with OSHA, ADA, and other specified legal requirements.
- Regular and punctual attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS – Including but not limited to:
- Education/Job Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with schematics preferred
- Valid forklift driver license; Lockout/Tagout certified; Hazardous Communications / Material Handling – Training done in house
- Physical Requirements – This position is very demanding physically
- Must be able to sit, stand, and move easily
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, twist, squat, and
- Strength to lift, move, carry, push, or pull objects from 50-100 pounds
- Required to frequently walk; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel; reach with arms and hands
- Specific visual capacity includes close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Cognitive Requirements
- Self-starter who can begin projects and work independently
- Ability to take direction from others; Eager to learn
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Able to operate technical and basic woodworking equipment
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Good technical and mathematical skills
- Ability to micrometer and caliper
- Understanding and utilization of fractions and decimals
- Capable of operating technical and basic woodworking equipment
- Capable of generating original ideas, brainstorming, and developing innovative solutions; problem solving skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts
- Moderate noise level
- Hearing protection provided in hearing protected areas per OSHA regulations
