CNC Machinist

Job Summary: Responsible for the operation of the various CNC machinery (mills, lathes, etc.) to produce a variety of parts. Must have ability to work from drawings and specifications, be skilled in general math and have required tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Attends work on a regular and consistent basis.
• Works with and understands three drawing views – Elevation (side), plan (top) and end.
• Operate production machinery including: Lathe – turning to 2-place decimal tolerance, Horizontal Mill and Drill Press – feed slats, Vertical Mills, Rotary grinder.
• Exhibits proficiency in the following math skills: Adding, Subtracting, Multiplying and Dividing - Converting fractions to decimals - Adding and subtracting fractions.
• Uses and reads basic measuring equipment to 2-place decimal tolerance including: Micrometer - Depth Micrometer - Snap Gauge - Caliper - Dial Indicator -Height Gauge
• Utilizes the Manage 2000 System (ROI) to check the revision level and due dates on drawing.

Education, Essential Skills, Job Knowledge and Abilities:

• Tech School degree or equivalent experience
• Strong working skills in operating equipment within areas of responsibility
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings and written specifications
• Ability to use basic measuring equipment to 2-place decimal tolerance
