Gillette Law Office, PC is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Bookkeeping and Tax Preparation Specialist to join our financial team. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day bookkeeping duties and assist in provide accurate, timely tax preparation services for individuals and businesses. Key Responsibilities • Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance • Assist in preparation and filing of individual and business tax returns • Assist with payroll processing and related filings • Communicate with clients regarding financial and tax matters • Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing calendars, and handling mail Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred • 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping and tax preparation preferred • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks preferred • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment • Excellent communication and customer service skills Preferred Skills • Enrolled Agent (EA) or CPA designation preferred but not required • Experience with multi-state tax filings and small business accounting How to Apply Please submit your resume, cover letter, and references to kkochekian@gillettelaw.net.
