Company Information
The Borgen Project is an organization that meets with the most powerful world leaders to discuss the advancement of global poverty reduction legislation.
Over the past 20 years, The Borgen Project has worked to support the passage of numerous bills including the Electrify Africa Act, the Water for the World Act, the READ Act and the PEPFAR Extension Act. Collectively, these four bills alone have benefitted close to 500 million people in developing countries.
Our success would not be possible without the support of grassroots volunteers across the country who are raising awareness about the plight faced by the world’s most vulnerable populations. Many of these volunteers are participants of The Borgen Project’s 12-week intensive internship programs. They have not only played a role in helping to be a voice for the voiceless but they have also used their internships as a stepping stone in their own professional endeavors. Numerous Borgen Project alums have gone on to top careers in journalism, public policy, law and many other fields.
Our internship and volunteer programs provide experience in advocacy, mobilizing and fundraising, coupled with real industry exposure and an insight into the nonprofit world.
